In light of recently awarded prizes where peace recipients air strike hospitals, this award would diminish Nakamoto's legacy.

Exactly.
There's a rumor that Ukrainean statists are lobbying for Peace Prize next year.

Satoshi would never accept a prize from a statist organization like that.

If the world has any sense at all, this will happen.

Why? so he may stand with the likes of Paul Krugman, Al Gore
and Barack Obama? The Nobel Prize has become a political tool of faux prestige and manipulation.
These named men are not a patch on the ass of Satoshi Nakamoto and his paradigm shifting brilliance.
Nakamoto, if past behavior tells us anything about himself will not relinquish his anonymity to accept it, and for good reason.
While I am sure Professor Chowdhry is well intended ( the road to hell ) he is wasting his time.

I agree that Satoshi would never relinquish his anonymity and he doesn't need to, Nobel prizes have been awarded in absentia before.

Regardless of the credentials of previous winners, I see this as a very well deserved acknowledgement of Satoshi's contribution to economics and it gives Bitcoin positive publicity.

I think the greatest acknowledgment would be mass adoption of Bitcoin on a global scale. And we are well on our way as indicated by the panic displayed by Jamie Dimon in his last public address concerning Bitcoin. Nothing can stop it now.

Nice that he is nominated, but he has no chance as long as he stays in hiding. And I think even a nobel prize is not worth the risk of exposing himself.
