Hello, mate.
We could already have 2MB blocks and LN but Roger Ver and Jihan Wu Mining Cartel are blocking progress since months. They should held accountable for the delay and the suppressed bitcoin price.
LCG, let's discuss this:
- 2MB blocks are not on Core's table today.
- Lightning Network is vapourware that has no demonstrable environment today - routing is still not functional.
Moving to non-technical issues...
- Roger Ver and Jihan Wu Mining Cartel are blocking progress since months.
Not supporting something does not mean blocking. In fact, if you care about progress, you should therefore support BU as it has more trigger support than SegWit. BU (by that I am referring to Emergent Consensus) needs a lower percentage of mining support to activate than SegWit.
That is the reason we will make a UASF.
Cool. I look forward to such taking place, but that will only result in the UASF clients creating their own failing fork. Unless the fork changes multiple factors, such as difficulty and perhaps proof-of-work, then it will fail. The ETH/ETC comparison is a false analogy because they have fundamentally different dynamics. Bitcoin's design means that there is almost no chance for a minority chain to survive because of the greed aspect.
I really hope we can all come together again when the dust has settled.
