Gemini identity verification

Just curious what others are experiencing with Gemini regarding identity verification. I'm at five weeks. I've emailed their support department twice and just got the response that they've had a massive influx of applications and they're behind. The same process with the same identity information took minutes at Coinbase/GDAX.

Should the verification ever complete I'm almost hesitant to put funds at Gemini for trading not knowing whether transactions will show up on the fiat and crypto currency accounts in a reasonable amount of time.

While I'm using GDAX which doesn't charge a market maker fee, the price spread between GDAX and Gemini is usually larger than Gemini's fees so there's still motivation to use Gemini.

If you're a Gemini user (or are trying to be) please reply with your experiences.

Dan, Some months ago I had a similar experience with Gemini. Finally after chatting with a support person, they emailed me that they would NOT provide me with an account. I of course questioned this decision, they indicated they were not obligated to explain their reasoning. YMMV but I wouldn't be recommending that exchange for USB to BTC purchases.
