The Astounding Incompetence, Negligence, and Dishonesty of the Bitcoin Unlimited Developers

On August 26, 2016 someone noticed that their Classic node had been forked off of the “Big Blocks Testnet” that Bitcoin Classic and Bitcoin Unlimited were running. Neither implementation was testing their consensus code on any other testnets; this was effectively the only testnet being used to test either codebase.

Thanks for posting LiteCoinGuy,

I am all for bigger blocks, faster transactions and lower fees but the more i read from sources all around the net the more Unlimited doesn't sound like the best option to be in control of a financial system worth around $20 billion.

I started a thread asking what plans Bitcoin Unlimited has to safely implement a hard fork on the network but didn't receive much of a response. For only 75% needed for adoption to be implemented it should not be hard to find information on how this will be better than the current system.

Could you post some of the latest material on how core/segwit plan to expand the network with bigger blocks, faster transactions and lower fees, thanks.

Ps. What are you thoughts on Mimblewimble ?

Hi bitkilo,

thanks for making research in that important topic and not blindly following the allegedly easy answers that some business men provide.

i am in favour of bigger blocks too and always was (check my post history). but i would never sacrifice bitcoin´s immutability and cencorship resistance because bitcoin would be worthless in the end when we do reckless on chain scalling (= more centralization which you can already see today with the Jihan Wu cabal).

the best way to scale bitcoin to the next level at this point is SegWit. We would already have SegWit since at least 4 months but it is stalled due to political games and powerplay (-> Bitmains Asics Boost Scandal).

SegWit will give us 2 MB blocks + additional features - the best of all is the Lightning Network! LN means instant, secure transactions and is a REAL scaling mechanism. There are multiple teams working on LN right now.
(LN is already in Alpha status and working / ready when we have SegWit.)

please watch:

You can even buy coffee with that ;-) !

But that is not the end. There is more. You can find additional scaling research on:
