Bitcoin Core: a project run by two men who have shown clear opposition to the block chain having a future. One of them works for a company that makes more money the worse the block chain gets: conflicts of interest don’t get more extreme than that.

Bitcoin XT: a project run by two men who already shipped a compromise solution that reflects the demands of miners, users and companies.

I really hope this forum picks up, so we can all have a place where we can all share our points of view without censorship. We hear people in this community talk about the best way to fight the system, "to bypass it, or ignore it." Perhaps we should take our own advice when it comes to this censorship. Simply move to a medium where it doesn't exist.

Totalitarianism is certainly the word. Not certain what's really going on in people's heads but open source needed none of this panicky censorship before and Linux runs the earth.

Propaganda techniques are identical to the actions seen here. Censorship is critical to the veil of infallibility. If December goes badly perhaps it's time to do a formal write up on the persuasion techniques being used and their ethics.
