Bitcoin address and transaction verification doubt

Hi,
I have used an Indian exchanger to invest in Bitcoins. I had been provided with an address. I want to verify whether that address and amount of Bitcoin I own is genuine. How can I do it?Is there global link to verify my Bitcoin?

You can copy paste your address into the search bar in the link to view the balance.
https://blockchain.info/

However, bear in mind that if the exchange provided you with that address, it is likely you do not have the private key - they do.
If you do not have sole access to the private key, then you are not in control of your bitcoins - they are.
You will only know if you can access your bitcoins when you request them to be moved to a wallet not under their control.
when if they go bust, get hacked or do a runner, your bitcoins will be gone with them.

You may not need to panic. They may be a "safe" exchange.
Do you know if you have a private key? (never show that key to anyone) Or just a send address (public key - can be shown)

Have you looked into using a different wallet to send your bitcoins too?

Thanks for the reply. The link you provided shows zero final Bitcoin for me. However, the exchanger shows the Bitcoins in my account. No, I can I move a bitcoin to a different wallet?

Presuming you are just starting with bitcoin, and that you are not dealing with a life changing amount of bitcoin, and not knowing how unsafe your exchange is, then i might suggest using that link i gave you to Blockchain.info to create a wallet there.

I would not say Blockchain.info is 100% safe, but is fairly sure for now and may give you more security while you learn about other wallets and storage.

Can you sign up to Blockchain/info from India?
Do you feel your exchange maybe unsafe, or do you trust them?

I can't say whether my exchanger is trustworthy or not. It is listed in the exchanger list of Bitcoin.com - The point here is my Bitcoin should be there in the public ledger of Bitcoins right? I need a verification of the same.

Never trust an exchanger, especially in bitcoin storing.
