Bitcoin’s Capacity Increase from Segregated Witness Could Kick in Fast

Segregated Witness (SegWit) is a proposed soft-forking change to the Bitcoin protocol that, among other things, increases capacity of the network. In addition to an estimated doubling of the block size limit, SegWit is also viewed as a key improvement for layer-two solutions such as the lightning network and TumbleBit.

Sorry LiteCoinGuy, i think not.
If segwit was the correct solution it would have far more support already.

Far too complicated, untestable, and partisan.
Pushed through a soft fork just makes it far more dangerous for Bitcoin as a whole.

A steady simple blocksize increase is likely far safer, simpler, and more testable.
Ideally not Core, not unlimited, not classic. Maybe miner lead - Just Bitcoin growing.

I do however wish you good luck. I respect you are Knowledgeable.
The best solution should, by satoshi's design, win the day.
(btw is sewgit up and running on Litecoin?)

Except for that it's not dangerous at all, and it's the most tested and peer reviewed code in Bitcoin's history.

I agree, that once just 5% of users start using SegWit, it will dramatically reduce transaction pressure. That's not even including schnorr signature aggregation.

Too many people literally don't understand SegWit. :/
