48 Hours -Transaction Still Not Confirmed - Is this Normal?

Thu Feb 23, 2017 2:43 pm

Afternoon All,

I have sent a payment from one of my wallets to another wallet (48 hours ago). I have tried contacting the company but had no luck.

What are my options now?

Thanks
TFM

Hi,

Just had an email from helpline saying they won't be able to help me as I have decided to pay the lowest fee possible for the transaction. Forgive me, I have not idea what the fee was and had no control over the fee charged.

No idea what to do!

Can someone please help.

Regards
TFM

Hi,

As you can tell i am still quite new to this - I am not sure if one should send the transaction ID or not?

The wallet I used is Coinbank.

Thanks

Hi,
Transactions are recorded on the public ledger... You can use sites like blockchain.info or blockr.io and see all transactions ever included into a block. So, from thief's point of view, it's safe to give out transaction id's and addresses. You're not giving away information that wasn't already known to the public.

However, from the moment you post an address or a transaction id, this transaction and/or address can now be linked to your useraccount on this forum... So from an anonimity point of view, you might want to avoid sending tx ids (altough, if you have nothing to hide, it wouldn't hurt either).

I hope you purchased from coinsbank and then withdrew to a desktop wallet? If you were sending coins from a web wallet to an online exchange, it'll get pretty hard to fix any situation, since you won't be in controll of the private keys, neither from the sending wallet nor the receiving one.

In 99% of todays problems, the fees are the problem. The high fees are indeed related to the backlog.

I'm on my cellphone right now, i'll post the difference between online and desktop wallets tomorrow.
