Is this true? Bitcoin = $1839.63

Just noticed the price leap at my site (nandibear.com) which is fed from data at blockchain.info -

The BTC/USD here at forum.bitcoin.com is showing $1046.79 -

hmmm... I'm starting to believe (reluctantly) that the value may not be accurate. Looking at my bitcoin I don't see values which match.. not even close.

What is happening?

blockchain.info stats still indicate Bitcoin value rising (by a few cents) - 1,839.96 USD

It's 4:54 PM and blockchain.info stats indicate that bitcoin value is rising... market price is listed as $1842.72 USD

The price on bitcoinwisdom matches the forum ticker so i would say that blockchain.info is incorrect.
They have been having a few problems lately.

Yes. That blockchain price was a bug. It seems that they are the only ones reporting anywhere near that. But hey, if they want to buy my coins at that price, I'll even give them a 10% discount. What a deal.

It's 9:29 PM (Feb. 7, 2017) and blockchain.info stats indicate that bitcoin value is rising (up another 5 bucks or so)... market price is listed as $1847.01 USD

9:16 PM (Feb. 7, 2017) up another 20 bucks or so - $1,866.72 USD according to stats a blockchain.info..

I guess it is average price considering all the exchange around the world. Look at that: https://www.nairaex.com It says that 1 btc = 539726 ngn (Nigerian Naira)

537726 ngn = $1715

If nigerian exchange price is $1715 there most likely should be some exchanges with even higher rates. Venezuela is a good example too.

I hope that they get things resolved over there

As of 10:08 AM (Feb. 8, 2017) the market price of Bitcoin (per blockchain.info) appears to be accurate at - $1,047.02 USD

Unbelievable... it really happened now (3 months after) ... bitcoin value was at more than $1820.00 the day before yesterday on Wednesday night (May 10, 2017 or maybe it was earlier Thursday May 11, 2017)!
