Hi all,
I m new to Altcoin. I don t have much experience with bitcoin either. I find B coin to expensive for investment i just use them for sales online. But i love the concept of independent banking.
I really want to invest in Litecoin and maybe 2 other types of coin. But i wonder about the technical details. I also wonder which three would be the best future investment and the best for me.
I have one host already that has reached his datalimit as i installed the software wallets Bitcoin Core for B coin and Litecoin Q for my Litecoin. I have 150 gig HD lol.
Leaves me one technical issue if want to invest more in Litecoin and 2 other types of Coin which Host i should use for this. My laptop does not fit lol
I have an old Windows laptop that could be used a future Ubuntu linux host as it has 1.5 terra of of data. I don t like external harddrives.
I have bad experiences with hd drives of all brands lol. Or maybe i should go for a specialised Hardware device? I ve read through some threats read some critical quotes about specialized devices but . I realize that even them devices don t live forever (max 10 years they say) ....
I ve read other threats where people who clearly have more coin knowledge then me advice me to take software wallets and just spread your coins between multiple providers. That still feels a bit unsafe to me maybe i m wrong about this .but.... We re talking about investing money right and i came here to inform myselve. Online software wallets means putting your trust in external companys

Question 2 : How to make sure you never loose your coin
A software wallets on a secure host (mac os, Linux) would this be advisable when investing in multiple coins? maybe in combination with encrypted hd
B Hardware wallets would this be advisable when investing in multiple coins? Are the devices on the marked doing what they market '' being 100 % safe and all
C Is a Combination of Online wallets. safe enough?
D Are you secure when you and only you have access to both your public and private key...
