This was great to hear that he used the bitcoin blockchain to prove his still alive, it may bring to the attention of some people that bitcoin and the blockchain can be used for a variety of things.

Wikileaks was also the first charity to start accepting bitcoin and even got the attention of satoshi himself at one stage.
