Invested in Bitcoin and Price Crashed Again !

I know its bit early to even discuss this but I have been quite stressed in regards to the price of Bitcoin.

Perhaps someone can explain what they anticipate in the next week/month/end of year will happen to Bitcoin?

Should one HODL or not?

if in my analysis when bitcoin will go down in the near future the next few months the price will never go below $ 500, so we will get a high price again by mid-year or end of this year

In the past 12 months, Bitcoin is up 69.92%. You bought at a peak, but if you believe in Bitcoin's ability to become the next generation payment system and store of value, the peak you bought at will be a historic low in the future.

I would recommend that you sit tight; it's not a certainty, of course, but you'll likely see major returns on your investment in the future. People who bought in May 2014 for $550 felt the same as you do now when Bitcoin's value fell in value over the next while to $250. Anybody who sold then incurred a loss. Anyone who held until recently had their investment double in value.

Your situation will likely define what you do with your bitcoins, but if you can afford to hold them, or even better, use them for goods and services instead of fiat currency - buying more at the current value to top up what you've just spent - I would suggest doing just that. Thank you for your reply and explanation. I have bought it at a time and thought I did the right thing, I still believe I did the right thing but sometimes you make a decision in life and one questions his or her ability if they have done the right thing...Perhaps I have...who knows, I was hoping to invest for not a quick gain but for a long term.

Lets see what the next month brings...do you think Trump coming in will have any impact on the Bitcoin?

1) Set a stop-loss order if you are trading on an exchange.

2) Visit https://price.bitcoin.com/ each day to check value.

3) Have a goal and stick to it.

Thank you for your reply. I actually bought these as a investment and wanted to sit tight before I sell them.

As you can imagine it took 3 months of planning and research to buy something only to drop in value by more than 10% in 48 hours.

If I sell now I will loose a lot of money !

If you haven't learned already, Bitcoin isn't much when it comes to short term. There are always drops and spikes, but every year it goes up and up. I invested at 300 on the way down and I panicked when Bitcoin hit $250, since I lost more than a couple of thousand dollars. Then now Bitcoin is $820, when it recently hit a more impressive $1200.

I also buy in rate at 810 usd and I want hold it for the long term too.

No one can predict the moves.

You need to have genuine faith in Bitcoin's future and be able to hodl for the long-term, years. If you don't agree with either of those statements you shouldn't worry about accumulating a stash of Bitcoin, focus on something you genuinely can get behind.

Use the fluctuations to buy more on the dips, whatever amounts you can afford. That way you'll always be acquiring new bitcoin and the lowest available prices.

Predicting the price of bitcoin in mid-term trends (months or year) is very difficult. The market is literally global and doesn't respond the same way stocks or other currencies due to geo-political or economic shifts.

What you can do is:
1. Buy on the lows if you have a very long, multi-year investment time horizon. Every time we see a drop, but a bit more, whatever you can, and you'll ensure you're buying at a average low prices.

2. Trade on short term swings, we see bitcoin go up and down somewhat consistently, it was at $900 earlier today and now it's at $870. If you sold at $900 you could buy back in now and get a bit more than you had. The challenge is getting trades cleared fast enough to take advantage of inter-day or multiple-day shifts; For this I'd consider splitting your investment pool between bitcoin and cash, when you sell the bitcoin portion you can immediately buy with the cash portion so you're not waiting a few days for the initial trade to clear.
