Bitcoin trading is a popular market that has been growing in recent years. There are many who obtain bitcoin to hold for long periods of time. However many people trade their bitcoin regularly with intra-range strategies, day trading, leverage trading and more. Often times trading can sometimes be confusing, and there are many things to consider when participating within the exchange environment.

Thanks for the info, I'm sure it'll help a lot of newbies out.

Shorting is definitely a great way to make money in a falling market, especially if you think that an altcoin is too hyped to be real. For example if you shorted EThereum or Monero on its ATH you would have made a decent 3-4x with leverage.

However obviously if the markets go up and you're caught in the midst of another unexpected pump you'll be forced to liquidate your short position and the markets will go up even more, aka a short squeeze.

Trading is not an easy job.
