On the first day of 2017, Bitcoin’s price reached $1,000. On January 1, Bitcoin price reached $1,000 at the Bitfinex exchange, and two hours later, the same price for Bitcoin was seen on Bitstamp.
For the second time in history Bitcoin’s price has risen above $1,000. A possible jump of the BTC price was first predicted in the beginning of December 2016, when Bitcoin’s price reached $800. Moreover, Saxo Bank’s 'Outrageous Predictions' for 2017 stated that the Bitcoin price may triple and rise up to the level of $2,100.
