This repository format is terrible, but formatting aside, this is just plain ridiculous.

I understand they don't want to allow "jokes" (dumb but whatever), but as Gavin suggested, how can you come to consensus on any matters without discussion? His points are on-topic and relevant to bitcoin. This is just plain idiocy.

And what's with them censoring the other email on the Atomic Cross Chain Transfer? The poster was asking for feedback from the group and the email was removed, makes no sense.

I think Blockstream adopting "Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda" run-book. It was bestseller in former Soviet Union after all, before it was modified to support Marxism-Leninism ideology.

Looks like Blockstream employee moderating bitcoin-dev...

from: https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoinxt/comm ... itcoindev/ "Rusty Russell is a Free/Open Source developer, currently working on Bitcoin Lightning for BlockStream. source:https://twitter.com/rusty_twit"

I'm not surprised it was moderated out. Time to start backpedaling. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/commen ... rated_out/

I've already replied on reddit, but I'll do it here too.

I am the moderator that rejected Gavin's post. For all that wonder, I have no connections to any bitcoin-related company, as I'm not a developer/entrepreneur.

I quickly read through it and thought it was all about moderation-subjects, which is worthwhile discussing, but should be discussed on bitcoin-discuss.
That's been a mistake, for if I read more carefully I would've realized he had more to say, relevant to bitcoin-dev. Due to the nature of a mailing-list you can't undo decisions.
It's a mistake that shouldn't have happened.

Moderation on the list is new, we just try and evaluate. Things are turning out to be too strict (not just for this post), so we'll try with a more lighter touch and see how that goes.
