Considering that Simplex takes the bulk of the fees and bitcoin.com only takes a 2.5% cut I believe, the rate is not bad at all. Also considering that no identification is needed, and the purchase is plain and simple.

The closest thing to it is virwox and you have to wait days before your withdrawal, and also go from Credit card -> SSL -> BTC which takes a ton of fees, not even including spreads.

hmm, yeah from their FAQ, they actually mentioned that they do accept some prepaid cards.

They don't go into detail though, I might try out their service later this week.

Well yeah I'll ask their support team some day when i've got the time to and potentially purchase via buy.bitcoin.com if they do accept prepaid/virtual gift cards. They should really make it more clear in the FAQ though, as to what is acceptable as a prepaid card and what is not.

I think the problem with prepaid cards arises with the issuing banks of those cards - there are so many different banks around the world with varying policies that it would be nigh impossible for Simplex to state whether each one is accepted or not.

I would imagine they'd be wary giving a definite answer on any specific card due to this due to the fact that although Simplex themselves might accept a certain prepaid card, the issuing bank may block its use by Simplex or its use for certain services, etc.

Try newer prepaid cards, for example, when a new card company comes out with prepaid cards, try it with this.

You could also try purchasing a small amount first, the bare minimum you can.

So basically like a prepaid VISA or Mastercard where you just take the credentials of the card, CCV and all that and then input it into the payment processing fields.

It said in the FAQ page that it may or may not accept virtual credit cards as well. Doesn't make clear what cards they do accept and what cards they don't.
