Have wallet but no client

Hi,

I have my wallet.dat file from another machine where I had the core. I have no client loaded currently. How can I use the wallet without downloading the core again? I'm running linux.

You have several options.

Install another instance of core and sync, then import your wallet.

Or

Export all of your keys with a program called pywallet which can be found on github. You can then reimport into just about any light or web client you want to use.

Since youre running Linux, it wouldn't be hard to install python if you haven't already. Then you can install Electrum from here - https://electrum.org/#download

Electrum is about the same as blockchain.info except it doesn't require the initial download of the blockchain, saving you time, effort and bandwidth.
