Giving the Gift of Bitcoin This Holiday Season

Sun Dec 11, 2016 9:41 pm

The season of giving is here, and there’s no better way to spread the incredible benefits of cryptocurrency by giving our loved ones bitcoins. Giving bitcoin to family and friends will help spread adoption and can also be a pretty unique gift.

I gave my dad a paper wallet with 0.1btc on it last year, when i asked him last week if he still had the bitcoins he said "you never gave them to me, you just gave me a piece of paper" he thought it was an IOU, lol
Luckily he still has the piece of paper.

Lmao, he should really learn about bitcoin. Bitcoin is anything BUT an IOU, lol.

Did he ever figure out that he can actually spend that piece of paper, or is it still sitting around in an abandoned cupboard?

He still has it and it's in good shape, i even laminated it so i don't know why he thought it was an IOU, probably just expecting an IOU from me than an actual gift, lol.

This years gift will be 1 hour of my time to show him how to spend it :P
