How would I get to a bitcoin receiver in case of illegal interaction

Thu Nov 24, 2016 9:38 pm

Dear all,

First, I hope I'm not in the wrong forum section.

I'm really shocked to know about this huge world of Bitcoin. It is really amazing!
But at the same time I got to know bitcoin after facing embezzlement of an amount I own.
I tracked the amount being hacked from my account, until I found its last transaction to a wallet in bitcoin.
I have the mobile numbers of all the persons who have passed my amount based on the thief requests.
Now how can I know the receiver. I have the wallet long code of letters and numbers of the receiver and the number he used to contact all the victims.

Any possible help.

Best wishes to you all.

Hello gltsa,

I don't exactly follow what you are saying but it sounds like you have had some money hacked from your bitcoin wallet, let me know if wrong.

If you did have btc hacked from your wallet then the first thing we need to try and help are the bitcoin addresses that the bitcoins went to and your btc address that the coins were hacked from.
What type of wallet were you using, a web wallet, android, etc?
How much was stolen, do you have any idea how this could have happened, do you have an anti virus or firewall running?

Also if you believe you have some of the details that could lead the authorities to the thief you could always post here: http://www.bitcoinbountyhunter.com/ and see if anyone else could help out.

First of ask, welcome to the wonderful and wacky universe of cybergold :)

My condolences for your loss.

So this guy tricked you into sending him your Bitcoin, through a phone call, and you know the phone number he used?

The thing is, the cryptographic nature of Bitcoin means that an address is not tied to a person. This is why you can generate any address you want without signing up for anything.

Unless this person has actually revealed that he owns that address that you have, it's impossivle to find him.

Sorry.

Could you possibly post the txid and known addresses for the hacked funds? If the money was moved or signed a transaction with a known address, it may be possible to track down the person.

Grateful for your reply. Sorry for the delay. The amount is being hacked from me through a selling website I deal with. The hacker was able to access my account and change my bank details then requested a withdraw of 829 SR ($221.06) to bank account related to a person who sells hosting services. The hacker requested the receiver to transfer the amount to a PayPal account. Then requested the PayPal receiver to transfer the amount to his bitcoin wallet. What could be the solution to get back my money.

Such things have been done before. For example, any address I use, if I sign a transaction with another known address of mine will be linked to me.
