Nice! I wonder if we should put a tag on the site. I notice when I searched for bitcoin earlier today (I also was curious how far we had moved up in the rankings) that the other bitcoin site has "Bitcoin -- Open Source P2P money". Maybe a tag would help make us become more popular?

I've noticed r/btc has a nice tag about freedom and it's a good way of differentiating it from the old reddit.

The games was an absolutely great idea -- both to drive traffic and also provide revenue for the site (I'm guessing that's one of the reasons).

If we can still get some kind of coinjoin or mixing done here, it would be absolutely awesome. Something like Shapeshift except to give untainted coins, perhaps?

A mixer may give us some bad rep, but it would still give us some good traffic. Maybe the admins could make a deal with one of the existing mixers like bitmixer, cryptomixer and the like. That would be so cool.

It won't be hard. A dev could easily implement an open source trollbox script on one of the subdomains (chat.bitcoin.com), and we could have a live chat between users, admins, mods for anything that fits. I just found out bitcoin.com has widgets, so it wouldn't be hard to implement a chat widget.

Yeah I think the new year price hike has definitely got a lot of the people off their seats and searching for more bitcoin information.

And bitcoin.com has very high value because instinctively people would go to something.com instead of say, bitcointalk.org.

The domain certainly is a good thing, and also the no censorship policy as opposed to bitcointalk.

Maybe we can ask bitcoin exchanges and payment processors (Coinbase, etc to link), specially in their 'about bitcoin' pages.

If people are new to bitcoin come we can be the site they get their initial information.

Sites with bitcoin charts like bitcoinwisdom, coin.dance, etc, also get a lot of visitors so if we can get linked there it should help.
