ChangeTip and Reddit Trolls

I am not too active on reddit, but active enough that I give out some ChangeTips every month. Is it just me, or is every single post that includes a /u/Changetip automatically (bots) down voted??? WTF!!!

Man the corporate interest have to be active in this. And I'm not talking about posts in the bitcoin areas. I just made a post in /r/flying and left someone a ChangeTip and it was immediately down voted LOL.

The recipients will even give me a big thanks in a PM...Tell me it's not corporate interest at hand here.

I tip out via ChangeTip on Reddit quite often and find that if you tip on comments outside of bitcoin related subs they will get downvotes due to people in those subs thinking it is some sort of spam or simply not understanding what it is. If you tip out in subs where there is some understanding of Bitcoin then you'll likely get some upvotes. So I'm not so sure about the idea that there's some conspiracy out there to deliberately downvote changetippers, I think it's just due to non-bitcoiners not understanding what it is and downvoting as non-relevant content.

NimbleBodhi is quite correct here, tipping bitcoin is often misunderstood as being some promotion of a scam. It does not help that the newswires speak of bitcoin as terrorism/cp/drugs related only. I find that it's best to keep the public face of tipping in BTC related environments only. It does not help to antagonise those who do not yet have knowledge of bitcoin. They will be on-board in a few years. They will probably not even realise.
