Bitcoin splitting service / API

Sat Oct 15, 2016 7:48 am

Hi everyone,

I made a post earlier about a Bitcoin splitting service: services/coin-splitting-service-any-int ... 11444.html

Basically, it seems like a common need to have an address that will take a fee off a payment, and forward the rest. Say you have a site which users get paid for music, and you want to take a cut. This makes that much easier.

As far as I know, such services are very rare. Blockcypher seems to have one with some notable limitations, and I think is only in the paid platform.

The API needs a lot of improvement, along with the reference Python library. But, it's a start and I'm happy to work on it more if any of you want to use it.

You can see a http://answer.market/ transaction using it here: https://blockchain.info/address/1C94t5u ... NjriGcSf7d

Let me know if you can make use of this.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've added a new feature to Coinfee. It can now act as a payment processor for simple transactions that don't require splitting. Just omit the fee and fee_address fields when sending your JSON blob to /transaction.

More details here: http://coinfee.net/

I've also lowered the fee from 30,000 Satoshis to 15,000 Satoshis, for both simple transactions and for split payment transactions.

This should be an extremely easy payment processor to use. I'm happy to provide examples if you like.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Another big change. I've introduced a new API and have deprecated the old. I also have a much more solid Python example to go by, including a small web application as an example.

You can see the details here: http://coinfee.net/

And the Python library (now pip-installable) here: https://github.com/coinfee/coinfee-python

Now available over HTTPS!

I'll be removing the old /transaction endpoint shortly.

I've shutdown coinfee.net. Had no users other than myself. I've migrated SporeStack to https://github.com/teran-mckinney/bitco ... tor-python

I put up the source code on Github if any of you would like to run with it: https://github.com/coinfee/coinfee

Thanks for giving the source. I definitely have some use for this. Maybe I will host a copy on my server. Thanks.
