ChainLock your online accounts using a bitcoin address

Mon Nov 14, 2016 4:10 pm

ChainTight Security has introduced ChainLock, a product that allows users to lock all or part of an online account using a bitcoin address.

An account is locked by transferring a small amount of bitcoin into the address, and the account is unlocked by transferring bitcoin out of the address.

A user can check the status of their account (locked/unlocked) simply by checking the balance of their bitcoin address without needing to log into their account.

There are also several enhanced features that ensure the security of a user's online account.

You can view tutorial videos of ChainLock here:

http://chaintightsecurity.com/content

Imagine how much bitcoin will explode if used not just as a store of value (digital gold)... not just a currency... but also an authentication protocol for all of the banks, equity markets, exchanges, etc. As people engage bitcoin as an authentication protocol, they will begin to understand ALL of the benefits of bitcoin.

Interesting. Is this an original idea of yours? or is there other companies/sites that provide the same service as yours?

ChainLock is an original idea. We are looking for a first service provider interested in implementing ChainLock (e.g., a bank, bitcoin exchange, etc.).

One of the main problems with bitcoin is the fringe adoption. We need an application like ChainLock that can introduce bitcoin to the masses by providing a significant service other than a store of value. Get people to interact with bitcoin transactions as an authentication protocol and you start a fire.

if it is an original idea, then good job. It has potential in my opinion. I think you need to advertise it more though.

Thank you for the vote of confidence. We are trying to get the word out, such as by posting on bitcoin forums and YouTube. We would appreciate any advice on other ways to advertise?

We are also hoping the best advertising will come from "word of mouth." Anyone interested in seeing bitcoin succeed should be interested in the success of ChainLock. If ChainLock succeeds... bitcoin explodes.

This is really a good idea giving btc other functions not only as currency.. Anyway you could use social media campaign such as fb and twitter, by this method surely you could get a great amount of people will know about your product.

I think an ad campaign would be good. Gonna cost you a bit of cash though. But yea, join various forums and maybe post on facebook groups.

What it really tested safe for users, I think it has a concept and a very good idea, it is necessary to test

Thank you for the vote of confidence. We agree service providers will be reluctant to adopt any new authentication protocol, and that any new authentication protocol needs to be tested and proven.

One significant benefit of the ChainLock protocol is it is based on the bitcoin protocol, and so in large part ChainLock has already been tested and proven since 2009.

Another significant benefit of ChainLock is the infrastructure is already built. The servers and technology for implementing ChainLock is the servers and technology for implementing bitcoin. Why pay a company like Authy for their infrastructure when the bitcoin infrastructure is already available and proven secure since 2009. The cost of the security is born in large part by the users which makes sense. Further, the cost is paid by each user proportional to their use of the protocol. That is, the cost is proportional to the number of authentications executed by each user, which is the way it should be. Only significant transactions such as significant withdrawal amounts need to be authenticated, and so the cost to each user is extremely small... less than $1/month which is almost nothing for the most secure authentication protocol on the planet.

We have posted another video that explains how ChainLock compares to popular two-factor authentication (2FA), such as SMS and token one-time-password (OTP) authentication.

http://chaintightsecurity.com/content

The most important point we make in this new video is that ChainLock will cause the adoption of Bitcoin to explode. This is the most important benefit of ChainLock with respect to the Bitcoin ecosystem.
