[vote.bitcoin.com] Block Size Vote

Mon Nov 07, 2016 9:53 am

Now that https://vote.bitcoin.com/ is now live we thought it may be a good idea to create a couple of threads here so our members can discuss the topics they are voting on.
I will be creating a forum thread for each topic we have listed on the site so people can discuss the topics they are voting on.

This first thread is dedicated to discussions of a block size increase as soon as possible, visitors to the site can easily vote by signing a bicoin address with one of the messages below depending which size of the block size debate they stand:
I believe that Block size limit should be increased to 8 mb as soon as possible or I doubt that Block size limit should be increased to 8 mb as soon as possible If you need help signing a bitcoin address LiteCoinGuy has created a great tutorial for core and blockchain.info wallets here, if you use a different wallet or just have any questions regarding the topic post here and hopefully one of our helpful members can assist you.

Regards: bitkilo.
Please help Ross and his family during this hard time by donating to the https://freeross.org/ fund. Play at the best provably fair Bitcoin games site here: games.bitcoin.com Need a fantastic Bitcoin wallet Pick up some great Bitcoin.com swag here

This is a good idea. We should probably have a 'vote' sub-forum created under Bitcoin Discussion where we can post each topic in it's own sub-forum so it doesn't clutter everything up.

If you get the sub-forum started, I will help post the topics.

I put in my vote! I feel like I need a sticker or a pin that says "I voted on the blocksize!" .... That just gave me an idea. They really should have pins or stickers at store.bitcoin.com that could say something like "I voted at vote.bitcoin.com" or something. Maybe if people saw them at events/meetups they would go vote themselves!
Agreed!

However, maybe a signature campaign would work better?

What exactly do you mean, a signature to say "i voted at vote.bitcoin.com" who would fund that?

I think he means a button or lapel pin that you would be able to buy from store.bitcoin.com that shows your support (that you voted).

Signature campaign as in, if Bitcoin and its future matters to you, one can easily place a link in their signature, see mine below! No cost required!

Just signatures on your forums, word of mouth, this is the best recipe.

+ add "vote" to the bitcoin.com links menu on this forum :)
