Several Mycelium Users Report Unusually High Bitcoin Transaction Fees

Mon Nov 07, 2016 5:04 pm

A report surfaced on Reddit claiming how a US$19 transfer in Bitcoin would cost the Mycelium user US$4 in fees. That is a very unusually high amount, as transfers usually cost US$0.1 at most. It appears that this is a bug within the code, and the developers seem to be aware of this problem as we speak.
$4. That might not be a huge amount of value, but that definitely is a significant percentage. Anyone else have this experience?

I had a couple of higher than normal TXs last week, but that was when the network was clogged right up. Payed over the odds and it still took over 24 hours for 1 confirm lol

On a network that transacts $160M~ each day, imagine how much growth Bitcoin loses each time this happens. A fee market and capped block-size doesn't work, it only causes congestion and confusion.
