The Amount of Bitcoin Is Scarcer Than We Think

Mon Oct 24, 2016 2:45 pm

Bitcoin is scarcer than people think, as most look at the current distribution at close to 16 million BTC released so far. However, far fewer Bitcoins are actually accessible. Many people don’t account for the thousands missing, some of them burnt, and wallet stashes that may never be spent.

There’s also a vast amount of coins that are not being spent at present — but could still be in the future. For instance, Satoshi’s stash has been sitting for years, and it is the largest amounts of BTC held by one entity. People assume that these coins will never be spent, but in reality, Satoshi could choose to use them at any time.
Clever dude. Probably waiting for bitcoins to reach it's peak before cashing out. haha. But honestly though, I would have done the same if I were him. BTC BTC BTC

Maybe even a billionaire possibly. But we can't say currently since we have no idea how much he is holding. But I'm pretty sure it's alot.

If its true that he has mined 1M BTC and at $1000 each he would already be a billionaire, however it is still unspent. Could it be that he forgot his password or loss his wallet due to hdd crash and didnt backed it up? :)

If i hold those amounts of bitcoin i would surely secure it all important informations about on its storage but we cant really say that especially when we do keep it when bitcoin is just starting up and you could able to buy it on few cents. If you are lucky enough to remember those bitcoin you hold then it would really pays off when bitcoin price hits on its peak.
