Ethereum Could Be Included Among the Accepted Cryptocurrencies

The partnership will see crypto payments incorporated in the Vourity platform connected directly to the blockchain using HIPS Merchant Protocol (HMP) native procedure token Merchant Token (MTO).

Vourity and HIPS partnership plan to roll out the crypto payments for EV charging stations starting from November 2021. As of yet, the two firms have not disclosed which cryptocurrency will be included in this feature. Nonetheless, the Swedish firm Vourity dropped strong hints that the second-largest crypto Ethereum will be part of the program. Vourity released an image of a payment terminal that included an ETH logo on it.

HIPS Payment Group Ltd launched the HIPS Merchant Protocol, the HIPS Merchant Protocol Gateway, and Merchant Token in May. The programs all play an integral role in the crypto payments feature. Irish e-commerce HIPS payment group Ltd built this protocol on Ethereum and Solana. It also adds to the speculation that Ethereum will make the list of cryptocurrencies accepted.
