How to gift Bitcoin?

Download a wallet app that you trust (preferably open source, like Electrum or Blue Wallet) on a phone that you trust (not rooted!) or, if you know what you are doing, on a PC you trust (e.g. running Tails) and create a wallet with it. Write down the seed words (don't put them in a computer, don't print them for a nice voucher or so, write them manually!) and write down the first receive address. Send the Bitcoin you want to give to that address. Now the wallet is funded. Once you have verified this, delete the wallet app from your phone (or delete the wallet in the app, if you want to continue using the app for yourself). Give the seed words as your gift (with an explanation, ofc). Keep backups of the seed words together with your own seed backups, because it is likely that the recipient will lose them and then come to you again, asking for them.

Bonus: Tell the recipient not to use this wallet for future funds. Instead, once he knows what he is doing, he should set up his own wallet (that you do not know the seed of) and sweep the gifted funds to it.
