"One of the reasons we won't be using it is simply because it's a bad ideas. But the other is that while fees are lower, the 50 cents per day of savings is not enough to offset the potential gains when a fork of Segregated Witness occurs. There will be a fork because anyone can create one and get it listed at Cryptopia or Yobit.
The fork could become successful, in which case all Segregated Witness money will be lost on the new chain. Even if there is a repeat of Ethereum Classic, which was pumped up by criminals and is headed towards oblivion, there will still be lots of money to be made by selling on the forked chain. But you can't sell coins that were sent with Segregated Witness, because those coins will be replayed by someone else on the forked chain." - ProHashing

dont you guys think you should be doing something already? Hes been ignoring mods and admins since forever. lol+1 This is a good idea.Maybe you could do like batches, and include links rather than one at a time.

if this was bitcointalk he would be banned within minutes. just saying.dont you guys think you should be doing something already? Hes been ignoring mods and admins since forever. lol+1 This is a good idea.Maybe you could do like batches, and include links rather than one at a time.
It's hard to follow one by one.
Let's not go so far as to say this, but I'm going to reach out to you, IFix and request that you condense your posts to at least 5 complaints, rather than all one at a time. It really would make your thread more interesting.Of my whole internet life, this might be the most useless thread i've ever seen. Where are the mods?

Money laundering"If you're Theymos and you realize that your "tip jar" is now worth over $2 million, far more than is needed for forum upgrades, why come up with this obviously transparent scheme to cash out through your friends, one of whom works for Blockstream?" - ChairmanOfBitcoin

The two links below show what many people really think about toxic dev u/nullc (Gregory Maxwell, CTO of Blockstream - who has jumped into this thread to "defend" his friend u/theymos, the corrupt moderator squatter/censor of r\bitcoin and bitcointalk.org):"to suit a political agenda." - grabberfish
"People are starting to realize how toxic Gregory Maxwell is to Bitcoin, saying there are plenty of other coders who could do crypto and networking, and "he drives away more talent than he can attract." Plus, he has a 10-year record of damaging open-source projects, going back to Wikipedia in 2006.
https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/4k ... c_gregory/
The day when the Bitcoin community realizes that Greg Maxwell and Core/Blockstream are the main thing holding us back (due to their dictatorship and censorship - and also due to being trapped in the procedural paradigm) - that will be the day when Bitcoin will start growing and prospering again.
https://np.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/4q ... izes_that/
Also note that when u/nullc "defended" his friend u/theymos elsewhere in this thread (his comments are massively downvoted, but you can click the [+] to read them), he did not actually refute the main accusation in the OP ("Theymos's embezzled forum money has been paid, at least in part, to an employee of Blockstream").
This is typical of u/nullc: he comes here loudly refutes any selected arguments which he can refute - while ignoring the other (often more important) arguments which he cannot refute (eg: "Theymos's embezzled forum money has been paid, at least in part, to an employee of Blockstream")" - ydtm

Identities of Theymos, Cobra, and BTCDrak are unknown. Even Wladimir van der Laan is pretty opaque."Theymos came on later and co-administered it with Sirius. Today it is jointly owned by someone named "cobra" and Theymos together." - Jek_Forkins
Hey Gregory, for someone who so adamantly denies any involvement or dealings with /u/theymos, you sure as hell come out in support and defense of his every single time an accusation (with varied amounts and qualities of evidence) comes out against him."Imagine if the CEOs of Facebook, Google, and Apple were all anonymous. Or even the FED chair. Or even the POTUS for that matter. It's just inconceivable.
If Bitcoin ever grows to a decent market cap then the identities of those in power will have to be revealed, or they'll no longer be in power." - DIGITAL-not-Virtual
"I mean, I was willing to believe your differing standards for denouncing censorship between the two fora was due to this one's support of bigger blocks (and against your in-turmoil company); but holy hell do you seem bent on shitting all over even well-intentioned presumptions of innocence.
Protip for the future: when you're trying to hide a connection between some other person and you, don't come out and defend them at every turn. Your explanations of "I just don't like people being falsely accused" (particularly when your defenses don't really provide any refuting evidence) start to look suspicious when you have double standards in this regard, and even falsely accuse people yourself from time to time." - redlightsaber
He has caused more damage to bitcoin"I've seen more than a few people who have noted a sea change in his general demeanor from when he first appeared." - ChairmanOfBitcoin

"You have driven an untold amount of talent away from Bitcoin and have done more to indirectly raise the profile of altcoins more than actual altcoin holders." - illegaltorrents
About all I've ever been able to find out about "theymos", the person, is that his IRL identity physically exists, and purportedly works as a website designer for a certain state legislature."This company is charging a very high rate: 100K$ per month for 4 devs, which would be expensive for senior devs, but is out of this world for 4 smartasses in a university in Honolulu, with no protfolio and who can't get a decent website for themselves (see http://slickage.com/ ). The company is very opaque and looks like a scam rather than anything else.
Looking at their github, however, we find that one of their may contributor is Warren Togami ( https://github.com/slickage/baron/graphs/contributors ). This gentleman is also a blockstream employee: https://blockstream.com/team/warren-togami/ . You can also verify that he has a slickage email here: http://archive.is/Ja5hB , so he is clearly involved.
Now maybe blockstream representatives want to explains to us why theymos is funneling millions to one of their employee.
PS: If you aren't already, follow this thread: post32869.html#p32869
PPS: If you donated to theymos' scam, you should consider taking legal action." - BitcoinGuerrilla
I've never trusted Togami and he has been a dick in the past."That identity, a 25-year-old man, has essentially zero internet presence outside of the "theymos" moniker. He has zero social media presence. There are no pictures of him on the Internet, despite evidence of him being on the Internet as theymos long before bitcoin even existed. The vast majority of his cash flow since 2010 has related to bitcoin, both as controller of many major bitcoin forums and from the aforementioned embezzlement/money laundering scam mentioned in this post." - thcymos

Austin didn't cause much trouble, but Adam and Greg are trollin online like 24/7."in leadership Shake-Up!" - blockologist

"they have put the community in." - knight222
If Adam is smart he should appoint /u/nullc as CEO"Austin Hill stepped down. There just isn't money to be made pushing TXs off the bitcoin blockchain, repackaging them on sidechains / lightning, and then re-selling them onto the bitcoin blockchain. It doesn't work because people won't pay more money for a degraded blockchain experience when they could just use another blockchain. Demand elasticity spikes upward at the market fee rate, so no one chooses to use bitcoin/lightning/whatever once it is no longer profitable to do so. Economics have beaten blockstream, and Austin is slinking out to join another project.
Adam Back has no management skills whatsoever - leaving the engineering lead to head up an entire company will only bring down blockstream sooner.
