How to transfer money without a bank account?

I saw on other pages that you can buy amazon gift cards and then a seller will transfer money to your account after you give them the amazon cards.. is that possible? Everytime i try to transfer money from my bank account to the exchange it says it cant. I am assuming this is because i live in mexico and work off pesos not dollars. How can I get around this problem?
