Gemini and the litmus test

Wed Oct 07, 2015 5:20 pm

This will be the litmus test. Gemini has promised us some institutional money and "big players" will now enter the Bitcoin game. At this time I really don't think they will add value except for the fact that they are insured and regulated by the US.

If they want to be a successful exchange that is competitive like the rest... They will need to consider adding futures and margin.

why do you think, that they will not add futures and margin in the future? i think they will. they even consider Litecoin trading.

maybe gemini wont bring the "big money" in but every exchange is a benefit to the ecosystem.

There is no shortage of exchanges, I believe their ETF will be a bigger deal.

I would say that's not too bad, trade volume of 300BTC and it's only been open about a week. If they want to be one of the biggest exchanges they have a long way to go, let's see what happens.

I assume you mean over 24hr period? Right now they are at 499 BTC over 24hr period. They are slowly climbing the charts. Better than some other exchanges that have been around for some time.
