I actually did this one winter about two years ago. I lowered my head down to the 50s and cranked my ant miners.

It definitely was more expensive than running the heat, but I had a nice chunk of BTC after the winter.

Oooh, I want to hear more. How big of an area were you heating and what kind of and how many miners were you running?

It was a 2 bedroom apartment, but with high ceilings making it a little harder to heat.

The number and type of miners varied. It started as antminer s'1s and ended as s3's. At the most I had about 4 though plus a few other assorted miners of that era like gridseeds and rockminers

Agreed. Moisture + electronics = bad

I'm not sure a bathroom is a good candidate for this. Even small amounts of moisture from steam and humidity can easily fry the micro transistors inside your miner.

Should it withstand that, the long term effects of corrosion will eventually destroy them.

Sorry, maybe my terminology was bad. This isn't an American style bathroom (bathtub/shower & toilet), it's a Japanese toilet room. It's just a small room that only has a toilet in it. It's probably like 4'x3', you can touch all four walls while sitting on the toilet.

I really don't think moisture in the air will be an issue. The only problem could be splash or the toilet overflowing. So it might be best to put the miner up on a shelf.

That's probably fine. As long as there is no humidity or steam you should be good. Please report back with your results.
