Japanese Can Soon Pay Utility Bills with Bitcoin

Mon Sep 26, 2016 9:28 am

Japanese Bitcoin services firm Coincheck today announced “Coincheck Denki“, a service allowing local users to pay utility bills with bitcoin.

Furthermore, bitcoin users will actually save money — up to 4%-6% for “heavy users”. Even lighter users can save on their bills, Coincheck said. Users will also collect the amounts they save in bitcoin, stored in a Coincheck wallet.

These kind of services have been offered already in philippines almost a year as of now, im using coins.ph, i could able to pay my bills, loading my mobile and purchase online game credits which is a very convenient innovation of bitcoin and now its spreading throughout the globe which is really good for us bitcoin users.
of all the countries I think bitcoins would be famous, wasnt expecting it would be in the philippines. Yea we have that feature on coins.ph now, but most users are like tech savvy users not our grandparents or parents. lol

Only young generations some veteran tech geeks would able to appreciate this innovation and as you said our grandparents and even our parents wouldnt even have time to mind these kind of things regarding to bitcoin.
yep. and I'm not blaming them. In their mind.. why use bitcoins when they can use creditcards? Maybe our generation will be the first parents to use btc.

Exactly. There should be a good reason for them to use bitcoins. As of now I think the only old people who use bitcoins are the guys who uses weed or whatever illegal drug. lol
