How exactly is HTC a broken company?

I'd also add that plenty of other big companies have made very effective comebacks.

I remember when the Galaxy S series was a cheap looking little phone that was laughed at. At the same time HTC was producing some nice looking phones.

For example, compare the

HTC HD7 (2010)

to the Samsung Galaxy S (2009) or the Samsung Galaxy S2 (2011) or the Samsung Galaxy s3 (2012).

Or compare the HTC One (2012) to the Samsung Galaxy s3 (2012).
