Bch to bct address

Hello bitcoin community... 1st I wanna say thank you for having such a great forum full of members who know what's actually going on in this bitcoin world..

So I love to gamble online and discovered crypto currency casinos. Everything was going great withdrawing bitcoin from my cash app to the casinos until I hit my daily purchase limit on cash app. So I did a little google research and found the app coinbase. Well I created the account and purchased some bitcoin and changed it over to bitcoin cash since it was cheaper to make the transfer to the casino.. However I did not realize the difference in bct and bch... Is there anyway for me to recover my bitcoin cash. I tried reading and learning as much as I could but its very confusing. I looked at the hash in the blockchain and I found where it went to, but I have no idea how to get it back if it's even posdible.. now I accidentally done this twice.. can anyone help me, or is my money gone.. thanks in advance

Did you send the BCH to a wallet (or account at a website) which supports only BTC?

If so, only the owner of the address sent to can recover the BCH. The private keys are the same on each chain (BTC and BCH). Whoever owns, or controls, the private key has access to all coins at the address (whether it's BTC or BCH). That person, or company, just needs to import or sweep the private key into a wallet application which supports BCH.

If the address you sent to is owned by a company (e.g., Cash App) you'd have to contact them.

A lot of companies are not willing to spend the time (time is money) and/or the risk (e.g., employees handling private keys) and will not help. Other reasons include the sending BCH to a Segwit address which makes recovery more complicated.

Thanks for the reply nandibear. I was trying to send the bitcoin cash to an online casino called cryptoslots.. I didnt know there was a difference in bitcoin cash and bit coin addresses.. so I sent my bitcoin cash to the bitcoin address. I can provide you the hash or whatever if you wanna see the block chain on it. The casino says if you send any currency other than bitcoin to the address then its lost. I just dont see how it could be lost, I'm so new to all of this. The 1st time I did it was simply because I had no clue what had going on and was only like $5usd.. the 2nd time a couple days ago was because I wasn't paying attention. I selected bitcoin cash but didnt realize that the address never switched from bitcoin to bitcoin cash and it was for $15usd or close to it.
