Bitcoin recovery help!

Have done a recent Windows 10 upgrade, however my memory stick with my wallet.dat file has been smashed by my young child! I have the bitcoin address - can I recover from this or roll back Windows 10 to recover the file?

When you upgraded to Windows 10 did you format the hard drive or just upgrade over the existing installation?
If you didn't format than the wallet.dat file should still be on your hard drive.
What wallet did you use?

i currently started trading in VET as an investment, i have a ledger hardware using with sync as ledger dosent support VET directly. but now i cannot find my VET. can anybody help me recover them.
