Academic research on bitcoin user habits (survey) - please share some insights

Tue Jan 22, 2019 6:44 pm

I need a little help from my bitcoin friends!

Should bitcoin be treated as a currency or as an investment asset? And what could contribute to a wider usage of bitcoin as a currency?
These are questions I would like to answer in my master thesis.

Please give me some insights into your bitcoin user habits by answering this short survey (should only take 6-10 minutes to complete):

Thank you very much for your valuable contribution to my research!

Bitcoin has global implications, for example, transferring money over seas. There are so many fees plus you have to account for the exchange rate and you also have to consider the time it will take to process. With bitcoin, all of that will be essentially erased. There's the mining and transaction fee but the transfer will be instant. Something to consider.

No one can treat it as currency as it's decentralized.

You can take it as a foreign currency. You will surely keep that for waiting the better peice for sale. It is a great investment in the form of currency. You can use it whenever you want and you can keep it as long as you can. BTC investment is better than keeping money in the bank. Do you agree with me?

I consider BTC as investment asset since as it's not accepted in many countries. But you can make a good profit if you enter the market. Btw, i trade on Monfex. It's a very convenient and reliable platform and you can trade there with 20X leverage.

I have not heard about it so often, but I think that one of the ways to use Bitcoins extensively is the distribution of ATMs, this will give the opportunity to buy, sell and generally use them to the fullest.
