I've been on this forum for some time and I am coming in less and less and I want to explain the reasons. Hopefully you guys can change the direction of the site before its too late.
- The forums are a bit old software, I'm missing features to create a view that I like. This means that I always see the entire forum and all the topics that I don't care about. The "Recent Topics" part is a great example of this.
- The site is run-over by spam.
Most of it seems to be tolerated, many miners are allowed to advertise about their services without getting deleted. I don't really understand why. Please understand that people advertising services will drive out good content. Due to point 1, this is site-wide. - The off-topics are an issue. For instance the AMA forum should be locked for new threads because I can guarantee that any new thread is not an AMA. I think its possible to move posts that are in the wrong forum.
- Maybe the software can't do it, but I would suggest that new accounts need their first couple of posts approved before they appear to fight the spam issue.
- Scams are not removed. A topic like; topic8280.html is very obviously a scam (all pre-mining coins are) and its been quite active for months. The fact that this is in an 'altcoin' sub-forum is really not visible on this forum software.
