Personally, I have always hated shower games. I think good food, good conversation, the inevitable gift opening, wine; that’s all you need. Still you can choose some from my list:
- How well do you know the bride and/or groom? For this one, each person gets a piece of paper with a few questions about the bride and/or groom on it. Things like their favorit color, movie, food, drink, etc. Person with the most right answers gets the prize.
- Scavanger Hunt Each person is given a list of things to find which were previously hidden in the house, venue, outdoors, etc wherever the shower is being held. The person who is able to name the hiding place of the most items wins.
- Did you pay attention? In this one, have one person come in a little late to the party. They rush in and start emptying their purse or bag looking for something at the bottom of it while at the same time telling everyone some made up story about why they were late. Once the purse is empty and the story is over, have everyone write down how many details of the story they got and/or how many of the items taken from the purse they recall. One with the most wins.
All these games need to be timed so people feel the pressure of having only so many minutes to get their answers.
