Roger Ver believe in free market, Theymos believes in heavy human intervention and control over Bitcoin protocol..

The very Bitcoin purpose was to protect people against what Theymos is doing. (having few people having a disproportionate influence over the network.. AKA politics..)" - Ant-n

With a recommended fee of 11 cents bitcoin seems basically useless for any transaction under ~10 dollars. It is not rational to buy a dollar menu hamburger and pay 11% fees. Or a 5 dollar steam game and pay 2% extra.
"Like for a lot of bitcoin users a few cents like that is a worthy sacrifice to support bitcoin as a concept. But that is totally absurd for an economic system.

Is this just supposed to be a feature of the new world economy? Massive fees on any low to medium dollar amount purchase? Who is that good for?" - btuestion
