Coinbase is set to raise $10.5 million from Japanese investors

Bitcoin startup Coinbase which operates the bitcoin exchange GDAX and the Coinbase wallet is set to receive another investment, to the tune of $10.5 million from Japanese company Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. The investments will be coming from MUFG’s core banking unit and a MUFG venture-capital fund, bank officials said.

another 10 mio - hopefully their burn-rate is low. bitcoin is a long game.

Considering they had over 100 million, I'm not sure why they would need another $10 million for, but maybe it's something local to Japan. I was wondering if they would open an office there but I couldn't find anything to support that thought. :)

10M is enough to fund an operation for a few years, they are up to something good in Japan I would assume ;)
