It looks as if the miners made the smart choice and are moving away from Core. My confidence in Bitcoin is up 400% today, excellent.
Thanks for that, now we can build more businesses that use Bitcoin!!!!!!!!
I don't think so.It looks like a hoax. It's an anonymous posting on a Chinese equivalent of Reddit.
Maybe you should read the post. Its impossible to be a hoax because it doesn't make any claims to be written by a miner. Its just a plan. One that has a lot of support, which is the important part.It looks like a hoax. It's an anonymous posting on a Chinese equivalent of Reddit.
I tried reading it. I don't read Chinese and Google translate is not great. After spending more time on it, it looks more like a proposal than anything else. Still, it is not what people are saying it is -- an agreement or announcement.Maybe you should read the post. Its impossible to be a hoax because it doesn't make any claims to be written by a miner. I think the proposal said that the HonkKong agreement said two things;As much as I would like for this to be true, I don't think it is.
Take a look at how recent blocks have been voting (re: classic/core), and you will see much less blocks voting for classic by the chinese miners then expected.
Although it is also possible that the miners are not yet mining classic blocks, and are waiting for other pools to join in to support classic, if this is the case then I think it will be a bad idea, because as more entities publicly support classic (and larger blocks overall), it will become less taboo for additional entities to show their support for classic (and larger blocks)
Core is done, they can't be trusted with anything.I think the proposal said that the HonkKong agreement said two things;As much as I would like for this to be true, I don't think it is.

Obviously, the SegWit code missed its target, and the miners are annoyed, but not enough to break the "contract".
- * SegWit in April
* Hardfork 3 months later
The proposal said that at the end of July (the implied date for the hardfork) they will start the hardfork. Either the one from Core or the one from Classic.
So it makes sense that nobody is voting for Classic as its just the first of July, not the end of July.
