There was a time i also lost access to my wallet which made me so worried and down thinking all the coins i have mined all these years are all gone. Fortunately, I just lost access for it for four days thanks to Dennis Rodney and It's been risky on trusting someone with all my bitcoins but given I've been trying my luck on all possible passwords for the last four days and write my own bruteforce BIP38 cracking script with my vague memory of password, I gave up. I had to turn in my wallet for him to work on it, hoping he can find my passphrase or anything helpful and return my coins honestly.
After about a day, Dennis came back with the right passphrase and took the agreed 20% (of my lifetime btc saving) commission in the wallet. I was actually pretty grateful to him though at the same time jealous of him making a good fortune out of my stupidity. Given BTC's historical increase in value, 20% can be gained back quickly, so I still think it's a fair deal.
