This is excellent news that tx fees have risen to 4-6 pennies per tx average. I hope they continue to grow to at least 10 dollars a tx to pay for security while block reward keeps dropping. We already know that buying coffee on the main chain is insecure and unpredictable and slow regardless how large blocks are. 0 conf. txs are inherently insecure and even if blocks are 10GB a confirmation can take 30 minutes to over an hour to occur. Payment channels solve all these concerns and insure that tx fees can remain low while Bitcoin scales.

You can see when the attack slowly started.

I've always run free nodes, can't anymore because they always get attacked by blockstream.com. Gregory Maxwell (nullc) is a professional denial of service attacker.

Really low that a business would steal from every person in every country.

I wont hold this emotional outburst against you. I see you are president of BTM , can you provide me with your URL so I can inquire into your goods and services merchant?

It is really an unfortunate direction that Bitcoin is headed.
The direction is the expected. Somebody has to pay for the network security. Right now, bitcoin holders are paying the largest portion. Eventually, it will be the Bitcoin users. I don't see that as unfortunate.

We have several decades left before network fees need to compensate for the block reward.
I even made a chart for it:

Network security???? We have network security. This isn't a vig, you aren't going to charge me or anyone a vig. Now you are moving from con to con you low-life scammers.

Remember this, you attacked our nodes, you have stolen from us. Not only did you attack our original Bitcoin core node to induce a fee market, you attacked Bitcoin classic nodes out of pure greed. You have tainted Gavin's career amongst many others, you are going to pay for this.

Blockstream, when your world has completely fallen down, and it will - remember that I told you this, you scammed the wrong people and you are going to go down in history for this.

You, are done.

PS. Thanks Roger for putting yet another countless amount of hours into exploiting the scam for what it is, a bunch of greedy scamming posers.

Here is my pissed consumer complaint:

Today I sent money from my blockchain wallet. Here are the results:
Total Input: value at time of transaction $2220.68
Fees: value at time of transactions $2.7
I used the quick send mode and there was not enough funds so I clicked "adjust" button.
And 20 minutes after, my transaction is still unconfirmed...
My verdict: bitcoin is slow and expensive.
(I post this complaint here because I know it's not going to be censored)

It has gotten insane on a criminal level.

This is what happens when you allow greed driven people with bad intentions to be involved with development of Bitcoin.

I can assure you that if you give us time, we will fix Bitcoin and revert it to the state it was originally.

2.7 USD is too much! normally there is no big diffence when you use a 0.05 cent fee or for example 0.50 cent.

which wallet do you use?

------

edit:

blockchain.info? can you share the transaction ID with us?

$2.70 is very high. If your wallet isn't broken, then my guess is that your transaction is huge, possibly because you have received all of your bitcoins in very small amounts.
