Paper Wallets

Sat May 14, 2016 6:08 am

I seen a thread on reddit today from someone asking what was the best way to create paper wallets.
There has been lot's of talk in the past that if using a site like bitaddress your must make sure that all your OPSEC is correct otherwise you may end up with a corrupted paper wallet from the start.

I use a Mycelium entropy to create my wallet from a printer that is never online so don't need to worry much but if anyone here has good experience making secure paper wallet could you please explain the process for those of us that are not 100% sure we can create a safe paper wallet.
Please help Ross and his family during this hard time by donating to the https://freeross.org/ fund. Play at the best provably fair Bitcoin games site here: games.bitcoin.com Need a fantastic Bitcoin wallet Pick up some great Bitcoin.com swag here

There is little chance of a corrupted wallet. The main concern is accessing bitaddress.org on a compromised computer. There is also the risk of setting a BIP-38 password and not remembering it or writing it down.

If you are not concerned that your computer might be compromised, then you can just go to bitaddress.org.

If you are concerned about the possibility that your computer might be compromised, then you can copy the bitaddress.org site to a computer that has never been connected and generate the paper wallets there. You can wipe the disconnected machine afterward for more security.
