I welcome many to debate about pump and dump here.
Here's my own opinion: I strongly believe that it is better to be part of a pump and dump than to regular trader who buys a coin only to see a sudden deep in price. Let me explain my point.
A regular trader can monitor the market, then he sees a rise in price for a particular coin and feels it's a good buy. Unknown to him, a group of pump and dump traders are responsible for the price increase. He goes in and holds will the coin is dump. The price drops and he is left with losses.
For this reason, I think it is better to be part of the pump and dump. That way, you know when to sell off the coins for profit.
Some may argue that pump and dump is risky because some group admins dump coins on their lower level members. They have this opinion because pump groups use a tiered system to share pump announcements. Bottom level members get pump announcements very late which is not good in the fast paced world of cryptocurrency trading.
