Hi so I tried putting in a order from a website and I got a message from coingate that said, 'this order has expired.' I later got a message from the website that said the payment wasn't received. Am I supposed to buy bitcoin kind of like putting money in to paypal? I'm really confused.

Please understand that Bitcoin itself isn't a company, just like “gold” isn't a company - this means that there isn't any official website that speaks for Bitcoin, just like there isn't an official website representing gold.
