How Safe is BTC?

Thu Sep 06, 2018 5:25 pm

Although BTC is virtual currency and well known for its safety, but I have some doubt about hacking BTC.
If I lost my BTC wallet account anyhow, then there are any way/chance to get it back? Anyone here retrieve your unused or lost BTC wallet?

One more thing, Is windows firewall protects BTC wallet or should I install a Internet Security on my windows for BTC wallet safety?

Hi, it depends on what you mean by lost. Same would be true for dollar bills, depends on what you mean by lost.

In any event, as long as you have your private key or mnemonic or seed stored safely somewhere (e.g., written down on paper, or memorized or buried in the ground) you will not be able to lose your bitcoin (BCH or BTC).

Iran has the world's most costly Bitcoin (BTC) center cost. A mix of monetary assents, high outside money request, and an enhanced administrative condition have sent the cost of the main advanced cash skywards.

It is safe as much as we approach the subject safely :) You have to be careful and turn only in proven places with the bitcoin currency.

Safety is a complex term. If you mean stability of the currency, then no, Bitcoin is way more volatile than major fiat currencies like USD or EUR. This is the reason why people love it – with a skill and luck traders you can make insane profits. Further, if you mean account safety, then it depends on you. Each wallet has a password and seed words to recover an access. If you forget all of them you can’t restore an access. Never. But other users also can’t enter your wallet in this case. Hackers break storages using phishing methods, not specific tech things. Finally, as for firewall, I’d suggest using hardware wallets instead of online ones. Firewall and other security tools can’t guarantee a total safety of online/desktop wallet. Only cold storages like Trezor or Ledger are hackerproof.
