Konrad S. Graf finally weighs in on the Bitcoin block size debate

Wed May 04, 2016 6:37 pm

So Bitcoin.com just published an interview with Konrad S. Graf (https://news.bitcoin.com/konrad-graf-bi ... e-economy/). He's very well respected in this community for his economic/historical work on the origin of Bitcoin's value, so I think his views on the block size are important. Apparently, he views the 1 MB limit as something similar to a government-mandated output ceiling, and that it disrupts a block size 'free market,' so to speak. What do you guys think?

Cornell University said it should be raised to 3mb.

In my own opinion, it should be increased as high as it can. Whether thats 3mb, 30mb, or 300mb.

You have to trust University's such as Cornell because if they are wrong, at least we have someone reputable to blame.

Why not just make it unlimited then?

Yes, if Cornell suggests that.

Besides upgrading Bitcoin, Cornell has the opportunity to eliminate childish bickering between tens of thousands of people.

If they accomplish both goals, I will forever recommend their University to the masses.
