Crypto Incomes Declared on Tax Returns in Russia - by Lubomir Tassev

Taxpayers in Russia have started declaring incomes and profits from crypto transactions even before cryptocurrencies are legalized in the country, results from this year’s tax campaign show. The Finance Ministry has again clarified the applicable tax rules, while the State Duma is still fine-tuning the upcoming regulations.

I think this is a really good step. We should always pay our taxes irrespective of the source type. People need to realize that the whole financial system runs on taxes. If we don't pay our taxes, we have no right to critize any governmental steps.

I agree that some sort of taxation should exist for some things, but it has just gotten obscene, it's really affecting peoples quality of life. Maybe if the global tax rates were lower, more people would be willing and able to pay them.

really interesting. I'm actually originally also from Russia, so I also read about that in a Russian article and now I found it here... well, what should I say I think thats a good decision - as some people her already mentioned taxes ARE part of the system, or, better said - without them the financial system can't run.
